HOPE
The ocean knows no borders, and neither should we to protect it. Project HOPE, co-financed by FEDER-Interreg MAC 2021-2027 funds, is creating a thriving marine refuge by advancing transnational cooperation to conserve and protect the natural marine heritage in the MAC region.

MACARONESIA

The Macaronesia region is a key marine corridor in the Atlantic, essential for the migration and reproduction of species like whales and dolphins. Its nutrient-rich waters and diverse habitats are vital for global ocean health.

MAIN OBJECTIVES

• Foster regional collaboration by promoting shared conservation practices and mutual support among Macaronesian regions.

• Support capacity building through access to scientific tools and the exchange of knowledge and expertise.

• Promote equity by strengthening cooperation with less-resourced regions, ensuring all areas can actively participate in marine ecosystem preservation.
