Innoceana has participated in and promoted many marine cleanups and aims to increase local action for marine protection. We commit to a minimum of two monthly beach cleanups with local communities in Costa Rica and one monthly seabed cleanup in the Canary Islands.
Since our cleanup projects, we have transformed natural marine areas
covered in litter into spaces where marine life recovered again.
Our impact: Innoceana has involved hundreds of people in Costa Rica and the Canary Islands to clean and renaturalize beaches and seabeds.
Through local and collaborative action, Innoceana hopes to encourage sustainable habits and motivate municipalities to support stronger enforcement in protecting their natural resources.
