The marine areas of the Osa Peninsula in Costa Rica are among the most biodiverse places on the planet, yet only a small portion of these waters are protected.
Innoceana was able to get the marine conservation organization Mission Blue to designate these waters as a “Hope Spot”, a step towards an ambitious goal: to create the Osa Marine Corridor Marine Protected Area.
